Which Listservs are included in the UConn Health Lifeline?

The Listservs include:

  • All Active Employees
  • All Affiliated Contacts
  • All Employees
  • All MPH Students

  • All Residents – Dental
  • All Residents – Medical
  • All Students

The Listserv I wanted to use was deleted. What do I do?

In the process of creating the Daily Digests, several Listservs were deleted.

For the following lists, please submit to or read announcements from UCONN_DAILY_DIGEST-L:

Can I unsubscribe from a Daily Digest/UConn Health Lifeline or change lists?

UConn Faculty & Staff, as well as graduate students, are automatically subscribed via their NetID to the Faculty/Staff Daily Digest. Likewise, UConn undergraduate students automatically receive the Student Daily Digest. There's no unsubscribe option. When you are no longer affiliated with the University, you will be automatically removed from the digest listserv emails. The digest listserv emails are automatically updated every day based on everyone's affiliation with the University.

UConn Health faculty, staff, and students are automatically subscribed via their email address to the UConn Health Lifeline. There is no unsubscribe option. When you are no longer affiliated with UConn Health, you will be automatically removed from the digest listserv emails.

How do I send a UConn Official Announcement that is not part of a Daily Digest/UConn Health Lifeline?

If your message is critical University business or contains time-sensitive information, please submit your request to your appropriate supervisor:


At UConn Health, standalone announcements are published under limited circumstances. For example:

  • Messages from the University President, UConn Health Executive Vice President for Health Affairs or his designee, and the Deans of the UConn School of Medicine and UConn School of Dental Medicine
  • Police and Fire Emergencies
  • Public Health and Medical Crisis Information
  • Physician Plant, Utility Services, and Significant IT Network Disruptions
  • Weather-Related Closing and Cancellations

Requests for any other type of standalone announcement should be sent to Daily Digest at uconnhealthlifeline@uchc.edu for approval.

How are messages organized in a Daily Digest/UConn Health Lifeline?

Categories and category order are set. Moderators organize the item order within each category. Items must be submitted 2 days in advance.

Why was my message not included in today's Daily Digest/UConn Health Lifeline?

The message did not meet the Daily Digest/UConn Health Lifeline requirements.

Who receives the Daily Digests/UConn Health Lifeline?

Faculty/Staff Daily Digest: All UConn faculty, staff and graduate students at the Storrs campus, regional campuses, and the Schools of Law and Social Work, and anyone who joined the UCONN_PUBLIC_DAILY_DIGEST-L list.

Student Daily Digest: Undergraduate and BGS students at the Storrs campus and regional campuses.

UConn Health Lifeline: All faculty, staff, students, and other individuals granted access to the listserv.

Can I correct an approved message submitted to a Daily Digest/UConn Health Lifeline?

To make corrections, visit the Daily Digest website. Click My Announcements. Delete the submission that is in error and  totally resubmit it, this time with all the correct info. 

Does Daily Digest/UConn Health Lifeline run on holidays?

The Daily Digest will NOT run on the following holidays:

  • New Year's Day
  • Memorial Day
  • Independence Day (Observed)
  • Labor Day
  • Columbus Day
  • Veterans Day
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Christmas Day

The Student Daily Digest will also have an alternate schedule during these times:

  • The Student Daily Digest will not run during Thanksgiving Break
  • The Student Daily Digest will only run on Tuesdays and Thursdays during Summer Break, Winter Break and Spring Break.

The UConn Health Lifelinet will Not run on the following holidays:

  • New Year’s Eve/New Year’s Day
  • Martin Luther King Day
  • Lincoln’s Birthday
  • Washington’s Birthday
  • Good Friday
  • Memorial Day
  • Independence Day
  • Labor Day
  • Columbus Day
  • Veteran’s Day
  • Thanksgiving/Friday after Thanksgiving
  • Christmas Eve/Christmas Day
