Osiris Quartet formed at the University of Connecticut in the fall of 2015 under the tutelage of Dr. Solomiya Ivakhiv, UConn’s Assistant Professor of violin and viola. The quartet has had the opportunity to perform on numerous occasions throughout Connecticut and New England. These include masterclasses with world-renowned chamber groups such as the Elias Quartet, the Dover Quartet, and the Artemis Quartet.

All four members of the quartet are current students of the University of Connecticut. Violinists Brian Roach and Mai Vestergaard are both pursuing dual degrees within the university. Roach is pursuing BAs in music and English Literature with a concentration in creative writing. Vestergaard is pursuing a BA in music and a BS in Pharmacy Sciences. Violist Brandon Kaplan graduated in May of 2016 with a BM in Viola Performance from the University of Rhode Island and is currently pursing a MM in Viola Performance at the University of Connecticut. Cellist Bronwyn Reeve is currently pursuing a BM in Instrumental Performance.

This performance is part of the Ensemble in Residence Program, established by UConn's School of Fine Arts and Department of Music with an Academic Plan Grant from the Office of the Provost.
