  • Library Dean Candidates On Campus

    Dear Colleagues,

I am delighted to announce that we will host two candidates for the position of Dean of the University Library on Tuesday, November 7th and Monday, November 13th.

Each candidate will hold a public forum where they will make a brief presentation about their vision for the library’s future, including the relationship among the libraries at Storrs, the regional campuses, UConn Health, and the School of Law.  Most of the time at the forum will be devoted to a conversation between the participants and the candidates.  Your participation and feedback is essential to this process and I invite you to attend these forums and share your evaluation of the candidates.

Candidate CVs, feedback surveys, and links to the recorded public forums, if you are unable to attend, are available here. Please note that users will need to log in with a NETID and password to access the candidate materials.

Christopher Cox:     Tuesday, November 7th, 10:30 - 11:45, Konover Auditorium

Anne Langley:         Monday, November 13th, 9:30 - 10:45, Konover Auditorium

I would like to particularly thank the search committee, chaired by Vice Provost and Dean of the Graduate School Kent Holsinger, and including Professors Alexis Boylan, Gustavo Nanclares, Sylvia Shafer, Olga Vinogradova, Jason Voukun, as well as Michael Howser, Director of the UConn Hartford Library, and Janice Swiatek, of the UConn Health library for their excellent work in identifying these candidates.

Thank you for taking the time to participate. We greatly appreciate your feedback and involvement in the process.

    Sincerely,
