The Blues has and continues to be a major influence on jazz musicians. This twelve-bar chord progression remains the most commonly performed song form within the jazz idiom. The 17-piece Jazz Lab Band will demonstrate how jazz musicians have manipulated the blues in a multitude of ways to suit their every whim and fancy.
