    October is Audiology Awareness Month!

You might ask what is an audiologist?

Audiologists are the primary health-care professionals who evaluate, diagnose, treat, and manage hearing loss and balance disorders in adults and children.

According to a report published in May 2016 by the Bureau of Labor and Statistics; there are approximately 13,000 audiologists practicing in the United States with over 15% or 37.5 million Americans over age 18 reporting trouble hearing (National Center for Health Statistics). It is safe to say that audiology is a growing field.
