  • 8/31 MINDFUL at WORK

This adapted lunch-hour course uses the main components of Mindfulness Stress Reduction (MBSR) to support anyone overwhelmed by stress at work.  Weekly, hour-long sessions and daily home exercises help participants to train the mind through various meditation practices to become calmer and clearer, allowing participants to react to stress less and engage in life more.  Thousands of people report that the course helped to reduce symptoms such as chronic pain, headache, insomnia, fatigue, anxiety, over-eating, and negative thinking. Participants also report improvement in relationships, vitality, and a greater sense of well-being.

Those interested have the opportunity to choose one of two hour-long Orientations sessions at Noon in the Alumni Center on Thurs, August 31st, and Fri. Sept 1st. Attending one of these is required before registering in the Mindful at Work course, hosted by the Mental Health and Counseling Center. Reserve your space for one of these Orientations before the 8-week course begins in September.
