ou are invited to join Earthtones, the UConn World Music Ensemble, as we delve into the music, history and culture associated with the Vietnam Era, specifically commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Tet Offensive (January, 1968), a critical turning point in the conflict. The program-Voices of Vietnam: Music and Memories- is based around folk and rock songs local Vietnam Veterans recall as being particularly meaningful to them. We welcome those who seek to share their voices with Vietnam Veterans for a unique artistic and cultural experience.
Earthtones (FINA 1001/MUSI 1006) is open to all students as a course and interested community members ($35.00 fee). The ensemble meets on Wednesday evenings from 6:00-8:30 in ML103. Come join us.
