  • InfoEd Electronic IRB Submission Training Sessions

The Office of the Vice President for Research (OVPR) invites Storrs and regional campus faculty, staff, postdoctoral fellows and students who need to prepare and submit a protocol to the Institutional Review Board (IRB) to join Research IT and Research Compliance staff in Homer Babbidge Library Electronic Classroom 2 (EC-2) for one of the following InfoEd computer training sessions:

    • Monday, August 14 from 10:00 –11:30 AM
    • Wednesday, August 23 from 10:00 – 11:30 AM
    • Tuesday, August 29 from 8:00 – 9:30 AM
    • Thursday, September 7 from 2:00 – 3:30 PM
    • Wednesday, September 27 from 2:30 – 4:00 PM

Space is limited to 18 participants per session. Advanced registration is required. We anticipate the classes will fill quickly in light of the IRB announcing it will no longer be able to accept paper submissions submitted via mail or personal delivery effective August 15, 2017. All IRB submissions after August 15 must be made through InfoEd.

Please register for the training sessions by visiting http://s.uconn.edu/infoedtraining  (NetID login required). Click on your desired date and then click register for the session. Additional dates and times are also available.

The hands-on, computer training session will provide an overview of the InfoEd Portal and explore the Human Subjects Module in detail. At the end of the session, participants will be able to log in, find an existing IRB protocol or create a new one, and prepare and submit different types of IRB protocol applications using InfoEd.
