  • 4/24 UAID E-Board Leadership Positions

    United Against Inequities In Disease (UAID) is currently looking for interested individuals to head the following e-board positions:

     Secretary

    • The secretary sends out meeting/event reminders and minutes, organizes attendance and roster, and maintains the email account.

    Director of Activism and Awareness 

    • The A&A Coordinator plans volunteering activities in the community, activism and awareness events on campus, and educates students about health inequities.

    Youth Outreach Coordinator

    • Responsible for running and working with middle school student as part of our "This is Life" program, where individuals volunteer their time at a local middle school and create lesson plans and activities useful for middle school students. This position enables the coordinator to create lesson plans as well as create a curriculum that he/she/they find important for middle school students. 
     United Against Inequities in Disease, UAID for short, is a national organization with a local chapter at UConn.  UAID’s mission is to empower students and communities to eliminate health inequities.  Students will gain hands on experience by assessing the public health needs of local communities and implementing community projects.
