Veteran’s Students Ball
April 14th 5-10 PM at the Nathan Hale Inn Pavilion.
Do you remember your Military Ball from yester year, or have always wanted to experience a taste of what Formal Military Balls were like?
Then get your best formal wear ready, because the Veteran Student Organization is hosting the first ever “Veteran’s Students Ball”. The ball will include a 3 course meal from the Nathan Hale Inn, as well as several Military traditions that we are putting a UCONN spin on.
Events to include:
- Posting of the colors and National Anthem
- Explanation of the POW/MIA table and its significance
- Table game with prizes
- A Boring commanders speech (given by a Brian Barganier a CT comedian).
- Cermonial Cutting of the Cake (with CAKE)
- Culminated with open dace with music from a Graduate DJ.
This event is free for Undergrad Students, however we also have tickets for Non-Undergrads to be able to attend.
$40 is the price of a ticket and covers food, tax, and gratuity. All staff and faculty are welcome, and veterans (or relatives of veterans) are highly encouraged to attend.
Tickets must be obtained from the VSO treasurer Alex Teskey (alexander.teskey@uconn.edu), or stop by the Veteran's Oasis (SU rm 224). The final days to get tickets is Friday April 7th.
