Spring 2017 UConn Jazz Combo Concert

The Spring 2017 UConn Jazz Combo Concert will take place on Thursday, March 30 from 7 pm to 9 pm at the Ballard Institute Theatre. Several talented musical collectives will be performing an extensive mixture of relatively obscure pieces and instantly recognizable classics. Presenting unique renditions of the works of legendary musicians like Peter Gabriel, John Lennon, and Sonny Rollins, these groups will also be led by acclaimed directors with substantial experience and revered reputations; included is Earl MacDonald, whose multiple JUNO Award nominations (best jazz album) and prestigious award wins have made him a widely-admired talent.

Admission is free for all. The Ballard Institute Theatre is located at 1 Royce Circle in Storrs Center, just off the UConn campus. Plenty of well-lit parking is available throughout the general area. For more information about this performance, please contact Earl MacDonald at earl.macdonald@uconn.edu. You can also visit the UConn Fine Arts online page at sfa.uconn.edu for more information regarding this or any other upcoming performances.
