New Music for Violin and Piano feat. Julie Rosenfeld, Peter Miyamoto, and Marka Gustavsson
A staging of New Music for Violin and Piano will take place at 8:00 pm at UConn’s von der Mehden Recital Hall on Friday, March 31. Performed by musicians Julie Rosenfeld (violin), Peter Miyamoto (piano), and Marka Gustavsson (viola), this concert will introduce numerous artists and their distinctive works; aside from a finale honoring the beloved nineteenth century composer, Ernst Toch, each composition has been conceived within the last three years and therefore promises a fresh, unique listening experience. Genre focuses vary, incorporating everything from atmospheric ambience to upbeat jazz.
Admission is free for all. UConn’s von der Mehden Recital Hall is located at 875 Coventry Rd in Storrs; it is situated across from Mirror Lake.
