Are you a nursing, pre-med, pre-PT/AT, pre-PA or a student interested in other field of healthcare and medicine? If yes, then this is a fantastic opportunity for you! Come find out more about the UConn Bridge to Guanin, a 10-day alt-break to the Dominican Republic. Some highlights of the trip include: learning how to triage a patient in complete Spanish (no prior language experience required!), witnessing live births, C-sections, and other operations in a maternity and children’s hospital, hosting two mobile medical clinics in a rural community called La Piedra that will service close to 500 patients, and become part of the Guanin family.
