    "U.S. IMMIGRATION, ISLAMOPHOBIA, AND THE LAW"


    In this timely and important discussion, our guest speaker is acclaimed attorney Tahirah Amatul-Wadud, who will discuss her own experiences as well as the future for Muslim individuals in the United States. Attorney Amatul-Wadud advocates for laws responsive to the needs of women and girls and runs her own practice with a focus on civil rights and domestic law. She was honored at the White House 2015 Celebrating and Protecting America's Tradition of Religious Pluralism for her work as a Muslim woman engaging in interfaith outreach efforts to increase religious literacy.
