  • ECZEMA Research Study Volunteers Needed

    DO YOU HAVE ECZEMA, also known as atopic dermatitis?  Eczema is a chronic condition that can cause itchy rashes to develop on the skin.

    The Department of Dermatology at UConn Health is studying an investigational drug as a potential eczema treatment. This research study is expected to last about 40 weeks, and you must have eczema totaling the size of 10 handprints to qualify. If you qualify for this research study, you may receive reimbursement up to $960.00 for travel costs associated with this research study. If you qualify to participate, you will receive either an investigational drug called ABT-494, or placebo (an inactive substance).

    Phase 2b Multicenter, Randomized, Placebo-Controlled, Double-Blind Dose-Ranging Study to Evaluate ABT-494 in Adult Subjects with Moderate to Severe Atopic Dermatitis, UConn Health IRB # Q17-093-2.
