  • 3/22 UConn Garden Conference

    The University of Connecticut is sponsoring the 2013 Garden Conference on Friday, March 22, 2013 from 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.  The conference will be held at the University of Connecticut, Lewis B. Rome Commons in Storrs, CT.

    The UConn Garden Conference features an exciting lineup of top national speakers and local experts, including:

    • Keynote speaker, professor, and author Jeff Gillman, speaking on The Truth about Garden Remedies
    • Tina Bemis, TV host and innovative co-owner of Bemis Farms Nursery in Spencer, MA, speaking on Shade Gardens Reinvented
    • Award-winning photographer and author Matthew Benson, talking about Artistry in the Vegetable Garden
    • Tranquil Lake Nursery co-owner and landscape designer Warren Leach, speaking on Designing, Constructing and Planting the Entry Garden
    • Connecticut expert Robert Durgy, speaking on Invasive and Troublesome New Pests and Diseases in Your Garden

    This all-day conference offers valuable educational opportunities for gardeners of all levels from the casual to the Advanced Master Gardener.
