Holy Family is looking for volunteers! Located in Willimantic, Holy Family is a homeless shelter primarily for women and children. Operating since 1989, the shelter plays an important role in serving the local community. Volunteers work hands-on at the shelter, assisting with the after-school program, interacting with the children, and completing chores related to cooking, cleaning, and general maintenance.
The program runs from 3:00PM-5:30PM, Mondays through Sundays, and this time includes transportation to and from the shelter, which is provided by UConn. We are looking for dedicated volunteers who can commit to one day a week for the entire semester.
