Start the new year off right by joining COPE, a mentoring program for elementary school children (K-4th grade) in Mansfield who are undergoing difficult transitional times in their lives. We go to their schools during their lunch periods once a week, and do different projects that facilitate conversations about what the kids may be going through. It's a very welcoming, understanding environment that is centered around making the children feel comfortable with talking about anything on their minds. The time commitment is 2 hours once a week (11:30am - 1:30pm Mondays, 11:15 - 1:15 Tuesdays, and/or 11:15 - 1:15 Wednesdays) for the semester. It is a great way to get involved in Community Outreach!
