  • UConn Employee Chooses to Pay It Forward

Amy Dunbar, associate professor in the School of Business, and her husband, were grateful to have received help in their time of need. Now, the pair is choosing to pay it forward by participating in the CT State Employee Campaign for Charitable Giving (CSEC).

By making a targeted donation to the United Way, an approved CSEC charitable organization, Amy is able to contribute to programs that support individuals diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease. The charity is close to her heart as her husband has this condition.

Amy’s husband served on the board for his local United Way and feels this organization does a wonderful job sharing its resources. Of course, given her background, Amy has a deep appreciation for the organization’s accounting efficiency and allocation of funds.

“Giving is the right thing to do,” Amy says. “The least we can do is express our appreciation and give back to society.” Learn how you too can make a difference at http://csec.uconn.edu/
