The University has contracted with BL Companies (and their sub-contractors) to map the utilities owned by UConn and to create a GIS database of those utilities.
During the week of 10/24 the SUE crew will be marking out underground utilities and the survey crews will be in the field to locate the mark-outs in the vicinity of the Storrs Parish Hall, the Philip E. Austin Building, Charles Lewis Beach Hall, Albert Gurdon Gulley Hall, the Family Studies Building, the Chemistry Building, the New Engineering and Science Building, Hilda May Williams Student Health Services, Carolyn Ladd Widmer Wing, Augustus Storrs Hall, Walter Childs Wood Hall, Wilbur Cross, Benjamin Franklin Koons Hall, William H. Hall Building, Willis Nichols Hawley Armory, Harry Grant Manchester Hall, the Budds Building, Monteith, Arjona and the Wilson Residence Hall.
These mark outs are not associated with any planned construction. We have requested that the team use chalk paint so that the markings will be as temporary as possible.
