  • 10/24 New York Times Speaker Series: Steven Eder

Please attend the Undergraduate Student Government's first lecture in its Speaker Series from the New York times, featuring New York Times' own investigative political journalist, Steven Eder. He will speak about the upcoming election and the candidates involved, the role of young people in the current political climate, and more. Join us for a night of lively discussion with USG, the Student Union Board of Governors, and the UConn Peer Interest Research Group.

Steve Eder is a New York Times reporter covering the 2016 Presidential election. He is an alum of The Wall Street Journal, Reuters and The Toledo Blade, and a graduate of Michigan State University. He has reported on a wide range of subjects, including politics, hedge funds, Wall Street banks, law and sports.

Still need to register to vote? PIRG will be available to help you get signed up! SUBOG will also be available to speak about the US Constitution.

Doors open today at 6:30 and the event will begin at 7:00 in the Student Union Theatre. There will be no entry fee associated with this event. A Q&A session will follow the presentation so please encourage your students to come prepared with any questions/concerns you or they may have about the American future.
