  • Women in STEM Research Study for Undergraduates

    Now accepting participants: Women in STEM Research Study

    Are you a women pursuing a major in STEM? In conjunction with the University of Connecticut’s support of the Collaborative Through Equity in Research on Women and Girls of Color, researchers are seeking participants for individual and focus group interviews.

     

    To Qualify:

    • Legal gender must be a female
    • Must self-identity as Black, African American, Hispanic, Native American, Pacific Islander, and/or Alaskan Native or mixed heritage with any of these combinations
    • Must have declared pursuit of a STEM major as defined on the National Science Foundation list of STEM disciplines (NSF, 2014; NSF, 2015)
    • Must have received below a C on at least one exam in a STEM course and/or earned a C­ or below (i.e., C­, D, F) or a withdrawal (W) as a final grade in a STEM course
    • Must be between the ages of 18-­24

    By participating in this study, we will be contributing to the body of knowledge about the experiences of women in STEM. In addition, you will receive a $25 gift card for your full participation.
