Volunteer Opportunities

  • Human Trafficking/Public Health Advocacy Alt Break

Participants of this Alternative Break Trip will spend a week in Atlanta, Georgia learning about the different factors that affect the Public Health of a community. Specifically, this trip will focus on the issue of human trafficking. Participants will most likely not be in direct contact with clients as short-term volunteers are not a strong solution for assisting the needs of people affected by human trafficking. Participants will support organizations focused on this issue and will learn how to become stronger advocates. Potential community partners could include Covenant House, Street Grace, and a variety of other nonprofits, advocates, and political officials.

This trip will take place during spring break week, March 11 - 19th, 2017.
