  • New Director for Education Abroad

    Global Affairs is pleased to announce that, following a successful national search, Ms. Sarah O’Leary has accepted the position of Director for Education Abroad, effective June 24, 2016.

    Sarah obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from the University of Connecticut in 2001 and completed her Master of Science in Organizational Behavior from the University of Hartford in 2008. While she was a student at UConn, Sarah participated in the semester in London program by attending the City University in London, England in 2000.  She has served as an adjunct faculty member in the Department of Psychology (since January 2010) at the University of Hartford, and has taught undergraduate courses on abnormal psychology, motivation and emotion, research methods and statistical analysis.

    Sarah has worked within several areas of education abroad over the last 12 years.  She began as the Northeast Regional Program Coordinator at the American Institute for Foreign Study before joining the University of Hartford as the Study Abroad Administrator and more recently as the Director of the International Center.

    Sarah brings a wealth of expertise in the area of international education in both study abroad and international student services.
