Jumpstart is a national early education organization that serves preschool children living in low-income neighborhoods. We are looking for bilingual college students to volunteer in the Corps Member role working one on one with preschoolers in the Windham/Willimantic area. Many classrooms and children are Spanish speaking and we are looking for bilingual students to help introduce the English language into session. Our proven curriculum helps children develop the language and literacy skills they need to be ready for kindergarten, setting them on a path to close the achievement gap before it is too late.
We are working toward the day every child in America enters kindergarten prepared to succeed—come be part of the movement.
You must have the following time slots available for our session times:
M/W: 12:30-4:30 OR 2:30-6:30 OR 4:30-8:30
T/TH: 12:30-4:30 OR 2:00-6:00 OR 2:30-6:30
