The Connecticut Water Company continues construction on the 5-mile water pipeline along Route 195 between Tolland and Storrs/Mansfield.
Water main installation has begun on Route 195 just east of Walbridge Hill Road in Tolland. This crew will be working east toward the Willimantic River Bridge. Work also continues on Route 195 in Mansfield east of Baxter Road. Both of these work zones will require lane closures and may impact traffic.
Work hours are 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Pipeline installation has been completed on Route 195 between the Four Corners and Mansfield Supply, and on Route 44 between the Four Corners and Jensen’s Rolling Hills Community.
Overall the project is more than 75% complete with more than 4 miles of water main installed since mid-July.
