  • UConn Offers Summer Horse Riding Lessons

     Looking for something fun to do?

    Get on a horse and ride this summer.

         The University of Connecticut will offer horse riding lessons to the public throughout the summer. Dressage, Hunt Seat, Western & Polo will be taught.  Beginner to Advanced levels will be offered. There will be (4-5) sessions during the summer, either two or three weeks long; $70 to $315.00 per session depending on how many times a week an individual chooses to ride.

         In addition to riding lessons, UConn will offer Trail riding.  This is offered to the Intermediate or Advanced level rider. Riders must be 13 years of age or older.  The rider may choose English or Western style and will ride the UConn trail system and learn best practices of trail riding including how to follow markings.

         Registration has begun and the first session begins the week of May 2nd. Lessons will be held in the Horsebarn Hill Arena, UConn, Storrs, CT. Enrollment is on a first-come, first-served basis.  Maximum of eight riders per lesson (maximum 10-12 for Polo).
