Starting this week UConn Blooms will be offering a selection of starter plants for your home garden! Currently we have a variety of herbs growing in our sales greenhouse. Herbs are very easy to grow with a little sunshine, soil that drains well, some watering, and a little fertilizer or compost. Herbs can be grown in pots which fit perfectly on your windowsill or in the ground in your vegetable garden. Words alone cannot fully describe the aromas that will fill your kitchen or the flavors that will tempt your tastebuds when cooking with freshly grown and cut herbs. You must experience these sensory delights yourself! Stop into our storefront in the Floriculture Building on rt 195 to get started on your green thumb for the 2016 growing season.
