  • 4/5 STEM Predoctoral Fellowship Workshop

    The Office of National Scholarships and Fellowships and The Graduate school invites current Juniors who intend to apply to graduate school in Fall 2016 to attend a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) Predoctoral Fellowship workshop on Tuesday, April 5th. in HBL Class of 1947, 3-4pm.

    The focus of this workshop is on applying to and winning prestigious fellowships such as the National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship program (http://www.nsfgrfp.org/), the National Defense Science and Engineering Fellowship (http://ndseg.asee.org/), Hertz Foundation Physical, Biological and Engineering Sciences Fellowship (http://www.hertzfoundation.org/).

    The workshop will help students understand the application components; will provide tips on how to best address NSF selection criteria of “intellectual merit” and “broader impacts.”

     

    NOTE: If you recently received comments on your NSF GRFP application and would like to discuss those comments to get an early start on resubmitting, please attend the workshop.

     

     

    Please also note that NSF eligible fields include Chemistry, Computer and Information Science and Engineering, Engineering, Geosciences, Life Sciences, Materials Research, Mathematical Sciences, Physics and Astronomy, Psychology, Social Sciences, STEM Education and Learning Research.
