  • 3/8 Symphonic Band: "Hot Tunes for a Cold Night"

    The University of Connecticut Symphonic Band, conducted by Director of Bands Dr. David Mills, will have their first concert of the semester this Tuesday. The Symphonic Band will be performing a variety of music on the theme of “Hot Tunes for a Cold Night.” All the pieces performed follow this theme; they have a vibrant, colorful, and fiery titles such as “Light the Fuse,” “Dusk,” “Night on Fire,” “Vesuvius,” and “Bacchanal.”

    The concert will be held at von der Mehden Recital Hall, located at 875 Coventry Road. General Admission is $10, with student and children admission free.  Plenty of free, well-lit parking is across the street.
