Nominations for the 2016 Resident Assistant Awards are now open. During Residential Life’s Annual RA Banquet in April, we will celebrate the successes of our staff over the past year. We have four awards that recognize outstanding achievement from staff:
- Jacqueline Seide Outstanding RA Award (1 award)
- RA Educator of the Year Awards (2 awards)
- Learning and Development Opportunity of the Year Awards (2 awards)
- Social Justice Learning and Development Opportunity of the Year Awards (2 awards)
Nominations may be submitted by any member of the UConn Community who is aware of and can speak to the accomplishments of the RAs involved, including other RAs, LC or Honors Staff, residents, supervisors, advisors, and Student Affairs Staff.

All nominations are due on March 20, 2016.
The award nomination process is not only important for those who ultimately win, but for everyone nominated. Although only 7 campus-wide awards will be given out at the banquet, each staff member who is nominated will receive a certificate and they will be recognized at the banquet. Winning the awards is very exciting for individual RAs and their staffs, but being nominated and having that recognition is also impactful!
