  • Pre-College Summer for High School Students

UConn’s Pre-College Summer program is a great opportunity for high school students (class of 2017 or 2018) to experience the student life on the Storrs campus while exploring their interest in a variety of academic areas at a tier one research institution. During their stay, students will gain hands-on experience and ease the transition from high school to college, become familiar with campus and establish ties the university and faculty, strengthen their college application, make friends with similar academic interests, and more importantly it will allow students to discover how they feel about a particular subject before committing to a major or full-time course of study while having a great time!

Academic areas to choose from include: Chemistry, Creative Writing, Digital Media, Dramatic Arts-Theatre, Electrical Engineering, Forensic Science, Medical Anthropology, Outdoor Leadership, Political Science, Sociology, Sports Medicine, Statistics, and more.

The program will offer a choice of up four one-week session, July 10 through July 16; July 17 through July 23; July 24 through July 30; and July 31 through August 6. Registration is now open.
