  • 12/31 Attn. Investigators: Annual FCOI Disclosures

The Office of the Vice President for Research (OVPR) has implemented new policies and procedures regarding financial interest disclosures.  Effective November 15th, all Significant Financial Interest (SFI) disclosures must now be submitted electronically within the InfoEd External Interests module at https://www.infoed.uconn.edu.   All faculty and other investigators that conduct sponsored research are required under federal regulations, and UConn Policy, to disclose certain financial information. A disclosure will only need to be completed once a year, unless there is a change in your SFI status.

Please take a few minutes to complete your annual disclosure. Log into InfoEd (https://www.infoed.uconn.edu) using your NetID, click External Interests on the left hand side, and then click Update (External Interests > Update). Step-by-step instructions can be found at http://research.uconn.edu/research-it/infoed/fcoi-how-tos/. Also, optional demonstration sessions are scheduled regularly.

Completing electronic disclosures has many benefits including the ability to fulfill your training and disclosure requirements quickly – on campus, at home, or while traveling; the ease of carrying forward information from a prior electronic disclosure; minimizing project approval delays by having a disclosure on file; and receiving notifications when an annual update is required.

If you experience any technical issues with completing your disclosure in InfoEd, please contact the eRA Help Desk at era-help@uconn.edu or 860-486-7944 (Mon-Fri, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM; except state holidays).

If you have any questions, or are unsure about whether something needs to be disclosed, please contact the Research Compliance Services FCOI office via e-mail at fcoi@uconn.edu or by phone at 860-486-3994.
