  • Rt 195 Water Pipeline Construction Update

The Connecticut Water Company continues construction on the 5-mile water pipeline along Route 195 between Tolland and Storrs/Mansfield.

Beginning the week of December 14, Connecticut Water will begin water main installation work on Route 195 in Mansfield between the railroad bridge and St. Paul’s. Much of this work will be off the side of the road, with only an occasional impact on travel lanes. An informational mailing will be sent to property owners along that section of the proposed route.

Pipeline installation has been completed on Route 195 between the Four Corners and Mansfield Supply, and on Route 44 between the Four Corners and Jensen’s Rolling Hills Community.

Pipeline installation on Route 195 in Tolland between the Willimantic River Bridge and Anthony Road is being suspended in mid-December and will resume in the spring.

Overall the project is about 50% complete with more than 2.7 miles of water main installed since mid-July.

Updates on the pipeline construction and traffic related information are available via e-mail and text directly from Connecticut Water by signing up at www.CTWater.com/Projects > Mansfield/UConn.
