  • UConn IDEA Grant Drop-In Hours

    Applications are currently being accepted for UConn IDEA Grant summer funding. Please encourage students with questions about the UConn IDEA Grant program or the application process to attend the upcoming drop-in hours.

    UConn IDEA Grant Drop-In Hours:

    • Thursday, December 3rd, 2:00-5:00pm, Rowe 409
    • Friday, December 4th, 11:00am-2:00pm, Rowe 409

    In addition to drop-in hours, students can schedule an advising appointment with program coordinator Melissa Berkey through email (Melissa.berkey@uconn.edu) for proposal reviews, to discuss project ideas and learn more about the IDEA Grant program. Skype and phone appointments are available for students at the regional campuses and those studying abroad.

    Application Deadlines:
    The application deadline for summer 2016 funding is Friday, December 11, 2015.
    Academic year funding applications will open in February and will be accepted until March 14, 2016.

    Program Information:
    Funding of up to $4000 per student is available to support student-designed projects including:

    • Artistic and creative endeavors
    • Entrepreneurial ventures and prototype development
    • Original research projects
    • Service initiatives
    • Other innovative, student-driven projects

    Undergraduates in all majors at all UConn campuses can apply. Applications are accepted from individuals and from small groups of students who want to work collaboratively on a project.
