Close to Home Daily Digest Write Up
Do you want to have a positive impact on the UConn Community? Do you have a favorite UConn cause? Now is your chance to spread awareness and gain support for the part of UConn that means the most to you.
As a faculty or staff member you can make a difference and fundraise for a UConn cause you feel passionate about as part of this year’s Close to Home Campaign. If you have your own scholarship fund that you would like to get more support for, or are an advisor of an organization that could use some help. Perhaps you grew up watching a beloved UConn Sports Team? Or a loved one was helped by a program at the UConn Health Center? Get others to be just as passionate and support your cause by applying for the Close to Home Crowdfunding initiative.
As a participant, you will have the opportunity to create a crowdfunding page to promote your cause and ask others to support it. You can share your page on social media or directly with your colleagues. By sharing why the cause matters to you, you can educate others and encourage them to be supportive.
