  • 11/2 Add'l Dept Admin Training: Effort Rpt System (ERC)

The Office of the Vice President for Research, Sponsored Program Services invites college and department administrators who assist their faculty in completing effort reports and those who manage their faculty’s sponsored program effort commitments to attend a training session for UConn’s new Effort Reporting and Commitments (ERC) application.  The new application will replace UConn’s current paper-based system.

It is anticipated that the first round of effort reports in the new application will be generated in October 2015.  We are very excited to release this new application to the University community and are hopeful that the new electronic effort reporting process will be much more convenient and transparent for faculty and departments.

The College/Department Administrator training will be held in two parts.  The first session will cover the following: ERC application navigation, new effort commitment management tools and basic effort reporting functionality.  The second session will provide in-depth training on reviewing and routing effort reports in the new system. The second session is specifically geared towards individuals reviewing and routing reports.

The following training sessions are currently available.  Additional sessions will be added, as needed.  To view all available dates with locations and to register for training, please click here Part 1 and Part 2.

      • Monday 11/2 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM: ERC Dept Admin – Part 1

Please note that training sessions for faculty are also being offered (click here for dates).  Staff from the OVPR Sponsored Program Services is also available to attend department faculty meetings to provide a brief 20 minute training session.
