The Accelerate UConn funding application is now available online, and is to be submitted via email to accelerateuconn@uconn.edu by September 15, 2015. Go to www.accelerate.uconn.edu to download and complete the application.
Accelerate UConn (AU) helps faculty, postdoctoral researchers, graduate students and undergraduate students determine the commercial potential for new ideas, technology, and products and develop strategies for bringing their innovations to the marketplace. Using the I-Corps framework developed and endorsed by the National Science Foundation (NSF), Accelerate UConn leverages resources from across the University in order to provide specialized support to UConn entrepreneurs.
Successful applicants will be awarded up to $3,000 for customer discovery activities, such as travel to conduct customer interviews, modest amounts of prototyping materials and services, approved meeting expenses, reports and stipends for input by experts. Participants are also provided with educational programming to assist their commercialization activities.
