  • Cognitive Processing - Human Subjects Requested

We are investigating how heart rate and/or oxygen levels resulting from different body positions may affect cognitive processing.

We will use a finger tip pulse oximeter to monitor your heart rate and oxygen as you sit or stand in different positions and perform a series of short tasks (making judgments on and remembering words, indicating the direction of arrows, indicating whether you see a square or a circle). Finally, we will ask you to complete some short questionnaires.

The research takes place in the Arjona Building on the Storrs campus and will take about 1 hour. You will receive $10 for participating.

In order to take part in this research you must be 18 or older and a native English speaker.
