The Arnold and Mabel Beckman Foundation invite for a 2016 Beckman Scholars Program Award
The Office of the Vice President for Research (OVPR) would like to announce that the University has received a Letter of Invitation from The Arnold and Mabel Beckman Foundation for the 2016 Beckman Scholars Program. As UConn may submit only one application for consideration, the OVPR will be conducting an internal screening process. The 2016 Beckman Scholars Program is an institutional submission and not for individual student awards.
The purpose of the Beckman Scholars Program is to help stimulate, encourage and support research activities by exceptionally talented, full-time undergraduate students who are pursuing their studies at accredited four-year colleges and universities located in the United States of America. These research activities shall be centered in either chemistry, biochemistry, the biological and medical sciences or some interdisciplinary combination of these subjects. Candidates for the Beckman Scholars Award must be full-time students throughout the duration of the award.
LIMITED SUBMISSION
Because only one institutional submission can be submitted for this program, an internal screening process is required. If you are considering submitting an application for this program, an on-line Notification of Intent to Submit must be completed by the requested Intent to Submit Deadline.
Investigators are asked to submit a 3-page project narrative, abstract, budget and biosketch by the requested Internal Screening Deadline.
When submitting pre-proposals for the internal screening process, be sure to check the Guidelines for updates. Pre-proposals not adhering to these guidelines and instructions will be returned.
