  • 4/25 Language Fest - This Saturday

    You are cordially invited to the 2015 University of Connecticut Language Fest

    The UConn Language Fest is a University-wide research conference, now in its fifth year, which showcases the many facets of research on language in the UConn community.  Last year's Fest drew participation across many departments and programs, including Psychology, Education, Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences, Linguistics, Literatures, Cultures and Languages, Philosophy and Haskins Laboratories.  The fest will take place from 9:00AM--4:00PM on Saturday, April 25th, in the South Wing of Oak Hall on the Storrs campus. 

    This year's Fest features talks from two internationally renowned researchers: Sheila Blumstein, (Brown University) and Dorit Bar-On (University of Connecticut).  In addition to these talks, three poster sessions will showcase language-related research from the UConn community. 

    Schedule of Events:

    Talks take place in Oak Hall, room 112

    Poster sessions will be held in the 1st-floor hallway of Oak hall

    Continental breakfast and a light lunch will be served, and refreshments will be available during the poster sessions

    IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING PARKING: Language Fest falls during Spring Weekend at UConn. Your entry to campus may be monitored; please indicate that you are attending Language Fest in Oak Hall. Weekday parking restrictions will be enforced (i.e., you will need to display an appropriate parking permit for your lot). Other attendees without a parking pass are encouraged to peruse parking options at http://springweekend.uconn.edu/roads/.
