Kids Are Scientists and Engineers Too (KASET) workshops are expanding to the afternoon for most weeks this summer. Parents have been asking for more science, engineering and robotics and we’re happy to give it to them.
This summer, children entering grades 5 – 10 can take the following week-long workshops:

7/13-7/17 Junior Engineers
7/13-7/17 Magnificent Microbes
7/13-7/17 KASET in the afternoon: Ecology**
7/20-7/24 Zoom! Crash! Instant Replay! (iMovie)
7/20-7/24 Chemistry: Light, Color, Heat
7/20-7/24 KASET in the afternoon: Energy**
7/27-7/31 Robotics (all day)#

Modules run Monday - Friday 9 AM - 12 Noon
**KASET in the Afternoon Runs from 12 noon - 3 PM and is an add on to those students in the morning modules.
#Robotics is an all-day program 9 AM - 3 PM
* Marine explorers which runs 9 AM - 12 Noon Monday & Tuesday and all day Wednesday is a field-trip to our Avery Point campus
Cost: Each workshop costs $200. All materials and lab fees are included.
Discounts:
- If you register by June 7th, the individual workshop cost is $185.
- If a child registers for more than one workshop, you can receive a 10% discount.
- If you register more than one child in a family, you can receive a 10% discount.
To Register by Mail: Go to www.KAST.uconn.edu. Print out the registration form in the brochure and mail it in with your payment. (It must be postmarked by June 7, 2013, to be eligible for the $185 workshop price.)

All applications must be accompanied by full payment. A $35 non-refundable registration fee comes out of the workshop price. If a workshop is full, however, the entire amount will be refunded.
