TONIGHT at 7-9pm at the Student Union Theatre. Admittance is free!
For centuries, these two Jewish foods have satisfied the masses: the Latke on Hanukkah, and the Hamentash on Purim. It's about time that someone settles once and for all which is the better food.
This March, some of the top faculty of our great university will dress up in formal academic clothing and use cold, hard facts and a lot of satire and humor to defend their side. They will use their academic area of expertise to support the superiority of the Latke or the Hamentash.
FEATURING for the LATKE:
President Susan Herbst
Professor Lewis Gordon, Africana Studies and Philosophy
FEATURING for the HAMENTASHEN:
Professor Jeremy Pressman, Political Science
Professor Jeffrey Shoulson, Judaic Studies
FEATURING as MODERATORS:
Eleanor Daugherty, Dean of Students
Shari Cantor, UConn Board of Trustees
Taste the Latkes and Hamentashen for yourself at 6pm in the Student Union Lobby, then hear what the debaters have to say!
