    Ta-Nehisi Coates is a national correspondent for The Atlantic. In 2013, he won the National Magazine Award for his essay "Fear of a Black President." Coates lives in Harlem with his wife and son. Coates has also written for The Village Voice, Time, The New York Times Magazine and The Washington Post. His memoir, The Beautiful Struggle: A Father, Two Sons, and an Unlikely Road to Manhood, was published in 2008. Join the Africana Studies Institute as Ta-Nehisi Coates discusses the history of the reparations movement and the validity of its claim.
