Our annual complete steam shutdown will be from Sunday night, May 10, 2014 at 10:00pm through Saturday, May 16th (6 days). This will enable Facilities Operations and Building Services to perform necessary repairs, improvements, and maintenance to the steam and condensate distribution system. On Saturday, May 16th, the system will be re-activated. Restoring pressure may take up to 48 hours.
During this shutdown period, many buildings serviced by the central steam system will not have heat and in some instances, hot water will not be available for showers, dishwashing, or lab needs. Special provisions are being made for the Monday Graduation at the Jorgensen Center.
