    Give to CSEC Charities Helping Combat Ebola

    Nothing demonstrates more clearly how interconnected we all are than the current Ebola crisis that is devastating several countries in West Africa and has the potential to spread around the world. You can help by donating money to one or more of the following charities that are helping combat Ebola, through the Connecticut State Employees’ Charitable Campaign (CSEC):

    Global Impact (8200) and its charity partners Africare (8203), AmeriCares (8207), ChildFund International (8211), Doctors Without Borders (8213), Episcopal Relief and Development (8257), International Medical Corps (8265), International Rescue Committee (8219), Lutheran World Relief (8220), UNICEF (8230).

    You can find these and other charities listed in the CSEC directory online. To find a specific charity of your choice in the online directory, open the pdf, hit the ctrl key and ‘F’ on your keyboard, type the charity you are searching for in the search box, click the down arrow next to your search, and select “Find or Open.”

    Please send your completed pledge form to Paula Enderle, UConn-Storrs Coordinator of the 2014 Connecticut State Employees’ Campaign, at U-5075, or by fax to 860-486-0379. You can also scan it and send via email to csec@uconn.edu.

    Together, we can make a difference. Please give generously.

    All faculty and staff who submit a signed pledge form will be entered into a drawing. In this week’s drawing:

    • A one-month membership to the gym;
    • Two gym T-shirts.

    The drawing will be closed on Oct. 29, and winners will be notified directly.

    The winners of the drawing that was announced on Oct. 8 were:

    Lisa DeJesse, CRT tickets, and Patricia Miller, Jorgensen gift certificate.
