The Little International Livestock Show is held by the UConn Block and Bridle Club in conjunction with the Department of Animal Science. It will be held at UConn’s Storrs Campus at the Horsebarn Hill Arena located on Horsebarn Hill Road. The event is free and open to the general public. It will begin at 9:00 a.m., with a lunch break at 12:00 noon. Lunch will be available for purchase and provided by student organizations as a fundraising activity. At 12:15, a “Celebrity Swine Show” will take place in which local “celebrities” will try their hand at showing pigs. Premier showmanship starts at 2:30. Approximately 125 students are expected to show their animals that they have been training through the month of October for their Introduction to Animal Science class. Species that will be shown consist of sheep, horses, swine, poultry, beef, and dairy. Come enjoy a fun day and watch our students show off all their hard work!
