  • Questions and Answers for Using PerkSpot

    We are pleased to share that PerkSpot, our new employee discount platform, has officially launched at UConn Health, generating a lot of excitement among our workforce. To make your experience with PerkSpot smoother, we’ve compiled some frequently asked questions and answers for your convenience.

    Q: I received an email from “PerkSpot with the UConn Health logo; is this spam?

    A: No, it is not spam. UConn Health has partnered with PerkSpot, a trusted online platform that offers UConn Health employees exclusive, personalized discounts. The emails are legitimate and branded with the UConn Health logo. We have worked with our IT department to allow emails from “UConn Health <cs@perkspot.com>” through our UConn Health Outlook email system. Because this email is generated from an external source, you may see the *** Attention: This is an external email. Use caution when responding, opening attachments, or clicking on links. *** message at the top of emails from PerkSpot; this is standard practice.

    Q: How do I sign up for PerkSpot?

    A: All active UConn Health employees have a pre-registered account using their uchc.edu email address. To activate your account, follow the steps in the email sent by PerkSpot Thur, Jan. 18, or visit uconnhealth.perkspot.com, enter your UConn Health email, and click “Sign in with an Email Link.”

    Please note: Do not forward any email sent to you to another employee, as the link in the email is unique to each employee.

    Q: How do I delete my PerkSpot account?

    A: If you want to deactivate your PerkSpot account, please email cs@perkspot.com and their Customer Support Team will assist you.

    Q: How can I unsubscribe?

    A: To unsubscribe from receiving PerkSpot’s Weekly Perks and/or the LOOP emails, click the “unsubscribe” link at the very bottom of any of the emails you receive.

    You can also unsubscribe by logging into your PerkSpot account, clicking on “My Account,” then “My Profile,” and the “Update My Profile” link.

    Q: Can I use the PerkSpot website at work?

    A: Please review the “How do I sign up for PerkSpot?” Q and A to activate your account. Then, access PerkSpot from personal devices in line with our Acceptable Use Policy (2019-01). Do not access PerkSpot during your work hours. The free PerkSpot App is available for download to any personal device from the Apple Store or Google Play Store. Search “PerkSpot.”

    Q: Can I change my PerkSpot email account to a personal email account?

    A: No. PerkSpot only accepts email addresses for active employees provided and administered by UConn Health.

    Q: Who manages the PerkSpot program?

    A: PerkSpot manages the program in partnership with UConn Health. For support, contact PerkSpot on the website at cs@perkspot.com or by calling 866-696-6957, option 1.

    Q: I have many questions about PerkSpot; where can I find the answers?

    A: PerkSpot is ready to answer any questions about the program. Access help by clicking the blue account options button on the top right of the PerkSpot website. There you will find Frequently Asked Questions, Contact Us and Get Help.
