In support of the Statement on Work/Life Flexibility, and in recognition of October as National Work & Family Month, the Department of Human Resources and the Work/Life Oversight Committee are pleased to announce that the Work/Life Expo will be held on October 9th.
The Expo will be held from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm in the Student Union Ballroom and features over 50 service providers, and health and wellness activities, including flu shots for employees with State of Connecticut Health insurance. We will also be collecting a selection of items for donation to the Hole in the Wall Gang Camp.
Please explore the various seminars and activities that will be held throughout the month of October. More details are available on the National Work & Family Month website and will be announced in future editions of the Daily Digest.
Employees are encouraged to attend these events, but please keep in mind that, as is University practice, staff should attend events with supervisory approval and operating needs permitting. Heads of Schools and Colleges, Departments and units are encouraged to facilitate arrangements in their respective offices to support staff members in covering essential office functions during these events.
