  • Seeking Human Subjects for Study on Nail Art

    UConn employees are requested to participate in a research study investigating the creative co-creation process that takes place between the customer and service employee in the context of nail design.

     

    Who can participate?

     

    Any individual 18 years of age or older, who speaks English, is currently an employee at UConn, and is currently or has previously been a customer of nail salons is welcome to participate.

     

    What will I have to do?

     

    If you choose to participate, you will provide a brief (~20 min) interview regarding your experiences of frequenting nail salons, the process of requesting creative designs, your expectations of nail technicians, and factors impacting your satisfaction with the services received.     If you choose to participate in this study, you have the option to be entered into a drawing for one of three (3) gifts cards, each valued at $50.

     

    This research is conducted under the direction of Dr. Alexandra Rheinhardt, Management & Entrepreneurship.

     

    This study was approved by the University of Connecticut IRB, protocol #H23-001. Approved February 20, 2023.
